Models are open at The Palisades at Broadmoor Park. The new retirement community in southwest Colorado Springs is being developed by Dunn & Associates Inc.
    
The senior center pairs the locally owned private developer with faculty and staff from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, who will provide senior-care services in gerontology, nursing and health sciences.
    
Located at South Academy Boulevard and Broadmoor Bluffs Drive, The Palisades will feature 110 apartments and offer independent and assisted living facilities.
    
Amenities include concierge services, 24-hour staffing, four dining areas, a hair salon and spa and a variety of social and educational events.
