Sue Rhodes

Sue Rhodes grew up on a farm near Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She moved to Colorado Springs in 1984 when she was appointed to the United States Air Force Academy. While at the Academy, Sue met the love of her life, Jeff, and they married in 1988. After graduating from the Academy with a degree in Management, Sue directed two different military personnel divisions at Edwards AFB in California. At the same time, she earned her MBA from Golden Gate University in 1991. Sue returned to Colorado Springs in 1992 as the Executive Officer of the Air Force Academy Prep School. In 1995, she was promoted to be the Chief of Military Personnel at the Academy. Sue left the Air Force in 1996 and became a Human Resources Specialist with Colorado Springs Utilities until 2000, when she left full-time work to be a stay-at-home Mom. Sue returned back to work as a Human Resources Generalist for The Classical Academy in 2008. She realized a career goal of being a Human Resources Director with the Palisades in 2011. Sue likes being able to interact with the residents, working puzzles with them and talking about current events. Sue is the proud mother of Derek, a computer science major at CU-Boulder, and Michael, a student athlete at Rampart High School. She enjoys traveling with her family to snorkeling locations and going to movies. Additionally, she and Jeff enjoy indoor cycling, hiking, and going out for Indian food.
